Ingredients
For the marinade.
- Pure Honey
- Olive Oil
- Dijon mustard (course ground)
- shallot minced
- ground black pepper
- Himalayan salt
- chopped fresh rosemary
- freshly juiced lemon

How To
Obtain some chicken breast and skin and cut the meat of the bone.
Cut into inch squares to place on the skewers. But these will first be marinated in the honey mustard marinade for about 2 hours at least. This will help tenderize the chicken and make the it taste great.
The honey mustard marinade is mixed with all the ingredients in a bowl and whisked up.
Place the marinade and chicken pieces in a zip lock bag. To seal it nicely while the marinade works its magic with the chicken and veggies. This also enables you to turn the marinade over now and again.
Kept in the fridge overnight would be ideal.

Once you are ready to grill these kebobs on the braai or other methods you would prefer, then get the skewers. Place the chicken pieces on skewers with the veggies between.
Take the marinade that you kept aside for basting the skewers while grilling. Different veggies to add to the chicken sosaties, try them.
The coals of the braai or the grill should be hot enough to cook kebobs. Place them on the oiled grill and leave for about 12 minutes. Turn them over and baste with the marinade. Do this frequently while turning and until the chicken is cooked and golden honey brown.

Ingredients
For Marinate
- 3 Tbsp of Pure Honey
- 2 Tbsp of Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup of Dijon mustard (course ground)
- 1/2 shallot minced
- 1/4 Tsp of ground black pepper
- 1/4 Tsp of Himalayan salt
- 2 Tbsp of chopped fresh rosemary
- 1 Tbsp of freshly juiced lemon
Kebobs
- 8 Breast pieces of chicken cut into Inch squares.
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 5 small red onions cut into small pieces
- georgettes and sweet potato cut into small pieces.
- 2 red and green and yellow bell peppers cut into inch pieces.(optional)
- Some skewers
( you can change up the fillings with veggies if desired) add mushrooms
Instructions
- In a large bowl whisk up the marinade sauce of honey, mustard and oil and salt and pepper. Shallots and lemon juice and herbs. (keep some marinade aside for basting the kebobs when grilling)
- Add your chicken pieces into a zip lock with the remaining marinade, garlic onion and bell peppers (or veggies) in the bowl and leave to marinate at least for 2 hours in the fridge. (better to marinate overnight) turning now and again.
- Drain the marinade and discard.
- Take the skewers and place the chicken pieces on them alternating with the veggies used.
- Have your grill hot or the braai coals ready for grilling.
- Place the chicken kebobs on the grill, bake for 10 minutes or so then baste the marinade on the kebobs and turn over to grill or braai the other side.
- Plate up once the chicken has been cooked and golden brown.
- Serve with salads of your choice.
Notes
Chicken kebobs or skewers can be made with different veggies between the chicken pieces. Even bacon is great. Just use what you have available. enjoy
