These homemade Kolaczki Raspberry Jam Cookies recipes idea to create. A cream cheese dough filled with raspberry jam for an aesthetic snack for tea time. These were a favorite my late mother used to Bake in Oven. Especially at Christmas holiday time, and we all used to help. Only difference with these is that they include cream cheese and butter in flour dough and jam and are such a delicious dessert snack or treat for tea spoils.
What is the difference between Polish kolache and kolaczki?
Kolaczki cookies are the aesthetic traditional Polish recipe with a cream cheese infused dough filled with jam. Where as a kolache is a bun filled with fruit or poppyseed and other fillings.

What is the history of kolaczki cookies?
The kolaczki cookie is originally from Poland and is seen mostly in the holidays. Been popular in Cleveland as well and known as kiffles in hungarian.
What does kolaczki mean?
A rich cream cheese dough filled with jam or fruit, served for tea. Kiffles are similar to these kolaczki or kolacky cookies but use a different dough.
How long can you keep kolaczki dough in the refrigerator?
Store your left over or new kolaczki dough in the fridge for about 4 day covered and sealed in cling wrap. Make the dough ahead of time and when baked dust with castor sugar before serving.

How To
This is an easy and this recipe has a few ingredients. But is so delicious to eat. Follow the recipe attached for the specific instructions.
Add the room temperature unsalted butter and cream cheese to a mixing bowl.
Mix cream cheese and softened unsalted butter in a stand mixer.
Add in three cups of flour. Mix well.
Wrap and place in the fridge for 1 hour.
Place a quarter of the dough on a dough board and roll out to a thin layer. Cut into 1 1/2 inch squares. Place jam in the center and pinch together opposite sides. Rub a little water on the place where you pinched together in order to keep them together when baking.
Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, to bake then place on cooling rack.
All these tasty baked cookies are to die for as they have been sprinkled with some powdered sugar.
These are served on a plate and if there are any left then you can store them in an airtight container.

- 8 oz (250 ml) cream cheese
- 1 1/2 (375 ml)cups unsalted butter
- 3 cups flour; plus more for rolling cookies
- 1 cup raspberry jam
- powdered sugar for dusting
