- 2 T butter melted
- 2 T flour and 1/4 t salt, stirred into melted butter
- 1 C milk, added and stirred with a wire whisk to prevent lumps
Instructions
- To make a white sauce, start with melted butter.
- Flour is added and mixed well to not leave lumps.
- Then the milk is added stirring continually until all is thickened and smooth,
- Pour into a gravy bowl and pour on top of the vegetables or meats and any other way you would prefer to use this white sauce.
