2. Bobotie left overs.

Instructions

  1. This is such a simple and easy recipe idea to use left over food for a meal.
  2. With your homemade vetkoek or some left over vetkoek, cut a slit in the round or oval shaped vetkoek to make a pocket. (don’t cut in half)
  3. Add the left over bobotie in the pocket and place on a serving dish for a platter or help yourself meal for the family.
  4. Its just that simple. 
  5. Only difficulty is that maybe you must still make the ingredients to fill the pockets with. 
  6. Follow the recipe for the main food and then stuff the pockets with the fillings. 

Notes

  • The time spent on this recipe can be very different. As you can use left overs for the fillings.
  • But may have to make the vetkoek for the filling. ( 2 hrs rising time for the yeast dough)
  • Therefore we have estimated the time for the baking of the vetkoek.
  • If you need to still bake the bobotie then add that time on.
