Cream Cheese Frosting
113 Grams (4oz.) 1/2 cup cream cheese at room temperature
½ cup (115 grams) 8 Tablespoons, salted butter at room temperature
1 t vanilla extract
3 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
In a medium bowl beat cream cheese, soft butter and vanilla extract. Do not over mix the cream cheese as the water will separate from the cream cheese and make this frosting runny.
Add powdered sugar gradually until combined and smooth. This makes the cream cheese thicker and a little sweeter, as well as helps hold its shape when piped.
Ice or frost your cake or cupcakes with this easy cream cheese frosting and serve for a dessert.
Keep the frosting or icing in the fridge, as well as when you have frosted the cakes as it will melt at room temperature.
