Crunchy Coleslaw Salad and Sauce recipe idea to add to braai’s, barbecue meals as a cold side dish. Healthy summer salad with dressings.

Ingredients

Scale
  1. 1 green Cabbage 
  2. 3 medium carrots
  3. 1 red onion
  4. (grate all of these)
  5. 1/2 cup of small raisons

Sauce.

  1. 1/2 cup of Mayonnaise
  2. 2 Tbsp of white sugar
  3. 1 1/2 Tbsp of lemon juice
  4. 1 Tbsp of white vinegar
  5. 1/4 tsp of Himalayan salt
  6. 1/2 tsp of ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Obtain a mixing bowl and mix all the ingredients for the sauce with a whisk. Until smooth.
  2. Add the grated cabbage and carrots and some onion.(for color and taste)
  3. Then add the raisons and mix the ingredients all together.
  4. Leave stand in the fridge for  at least 2 hours, so that the cabbage and carrots absorb the sauce and make the salad better.

Notes

This coleslaw salad is best kept for a few hours before eaten as the cabbage and carrots will absorb the mayo sauce mix. Even better the next day. Great holiday and Christmas side dish.
