Ingredients
Scale
6–8 hard boiled eggs
1 small carrot
1 twig of rosemary thin leaves
4–6 bits of raisins, cut to make little eyes
Some tooth picks
Instructions
Hard boil 6-8 eggs in a pot of water on the stove top for about 8 minutes.
Once boiled pour off the hot water and cool off the eggs with cold tap water and leave to cool. Enough to be able to peel off the egg shells.
Organize your 4 best boiled eggs for decorating. Cut off a quarter (1/4 ) of the end of the one oval side to let the egg stand upright on.
Then cut up some pieces of carrots and raisins for eyes and noses. Take the thin leaves off of the rosemary twig for the whiskers. (these can be decorate with any other ideas and ingredients you have in the home)
With one of the extra boiled eggs slice an oval longish piece of egg with some egg yolk for the inside of the ears. They should be thick enough to insert half of a toothpick to keep the ears upright on the bunny head. A point should be left out to attach to the egg.
Decorate and stick the ears on, by sticking the toothpick point from the ears inside the boiled egg head, Add the eyes and nose and insert some long thin rosemary leaves for whiskers.
Stand them on the cut bottom on a serving plate and serve for breakfast or brunch or snacks for the kids and family to enjoy as a healthy meal. Serve warm.
(If you want to leave the easter egg bunnies in some egg cups then you would not have to cut off a piece to let them stand upright on a serving plate. just another thought to serve them.)😉
