Ingredients

Units Scale
  1. 2/3 cup (6 oz.) frozen peas, thawed and drained
  2. 6 strips of bacon, cooked and chopped into small pieces
  3. 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  4. 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  5. 1/2 cup diced red onion
  6. 1 cup mayonnaise
  7. Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients and make sure your peas are fully thawed and drained of any excess water. Dice the red onion, chop the cooked bacon, and shred the cheese if needed.
  2. Mix the salad in a large mixing bowl, combine the peas, bacon, red onion, shredded cheese, and mayonnaise. Stir until everything is evenly coated.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then stir again to evenly distribute the seasonings throughout the salad.
  4. Chill the salad covered in refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. For the best flavor, let it chill for several hours or overnight — this gives the ingredients time to meld together.
  5. Before serving, give the salad a good stir to redistribute the mayo that may have settled.
  6. An easy and delicious cold summer salad or side dish for any meal.
