Ingredients

  1. 2 cups of flour
  2. 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  3. 1/2 cup of powdered sugar (castor or fine sugar)
  4. 1 cup of chilled butter
  5. 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  6. 3/4 cup of honey
  7. 2 cups of pecan nuts
  8. 6 Tablespoons of heavy cream
  9. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. F (175 Degrees, C)
  2. In a food processor, pulse together the flour, salt, powdered sugar and butter until it forms clumps.
  3. Grease a 9 x 13 pan and press the dough firmly into an even layer covering the bottom of the pan. Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  4. In a small saucepan, heat the sugar, honey, pecans and cream until the sugar has dissolved. (About 2 minutes.) Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.
  5. Pour over the crust and place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving!
