How To make this easy apple dump cake recipe.
STEP 1. In a medium bowl add your cut apples, and add the spices of cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and vanilla. Combine them so they are all coated well. (as per the above image)
STEP 2. Then mix the dry ingredients, for the topping, flour, baking powder, salt, and brown sugar.
STEP 3.Melt the butter on the stove top or in the warm oven while you mix these ingredients. Or place thinly slices of butter evenly over the top of the flour mixture.

STEP 4. Place these apple pieces in a greased glass dish. (9 x13)

Add the cake topping on top of the apples and spread out evenly.

Pour the melted butter over the top of the topping and make sure it covers all the topping. or the thinly sliced butter spread evenly over the top to melt in the oven when baking.
