Ingredients

  1. 14 oz beef shaved or sliced steak
  2.  ½ green pepper, cut into ½ inch strips
  3. ½ onion, cut into ½ inch slices (yellow, red or white)
  4.  4 oz button mushrooms, sliced
  5. 10 oz Mozzarella  cheese, cut into 1 inch cubes ( Velveeta or feta)
  6. ½ cup sliced canned tomatoes or Rotel
  7. 4 hot dog rolls (hoagie rolls)

Instructions

1. Wash and cut your veggies.

  2. Add the sliced or shaved steak and sliced veggies to a skillet and cook over medium low heat, turning the meat and veggies every couple of minutes, until the steak is cooked through and the peppers and onions are tender to your liking.

3. Add the mozzarella and canned cut tomato(Velveeta and Rotel) to a bowl, Also use a sauce pan to heat the ingredients until melted, (or microwave for 1 minute, remove and stir, then heat for an additional 1-2 minutes,) until you have a melty cheese sauce.

4. Slice the hot dog (hoagie) rolls, Butter and fill each with ¼ of the meat and veggies mixture, then top with cheese sauce.

Serve for a light meal for week or week end Saturday meals.

Notes

  • A great recipe to use with left overs of steak and other fillings for a meal.
