It is important to choose flavorful, ripe peaches for the recipe. Give preference to brightly colored fruit. Smell the peaches, quality fruit smells very pleasant. Lightly press the peach. You want ripe fruit – not firm, but firm enough. In order for the filling to retain its texture, we added starch to it. These ingredients helped to thicken the fruit juice released when the fruit is heated. The starch prevents excess liquid in the filling and makes it denser and juicy. Without starch, the filling can be too liquidy and leak out of the pie, making it difficult to slice and serve.
Cut the peaches in half and remove the pit. Cut the fruit into slices and place in a ceramic baking dish. Sprinkle the peaches with starch and mix them in the mold.
Place the room temperature butter, cinnamon, flour and sugar in a bowl. Rub the ingredients together with your hands to form a crumbly mixture.
Cover the peach filling with the crumble mixture.
Sprinkle oatmeal over the top. Bake in the oven until browned, about 30 minutes.
Lightly browned on top. The recipe is for 2 servings. You can increase the number of ingredients proportionally, but note that it is better not to prepare the dessert in advance..
