Ingredients

  1. 2 large peaches
  2. 1 tbsp. starch
  3. 2.5 oz. butter
  4. 1/3 cup sugar
  5. 1/2 cup flour
  6. 1 tsp. cinnamon
  7. 12 tbsp. flaked oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to190 deg. C, (375°F.)
  2. Rinse the peaches in water. You cannot remove the peel, but we suggest you try to do it once. You will be pleasantly surprised by the result. Make a cross-shaped incision and scald the fruit. Gently pick up the peel and remove it.
  3. Cut the peaches in half and remove the pit. Cut the fruit into slices and place in a ceramic baking dish. Sprinkle the peaches with starch and mix them in the mold.
  4. Place the room temperature butter, cinnamon, flour and sugar in a bowl. Rub the ingredients together with your hands to form a crumbly mixture.
  5. Cover the peach filling with the crumble mixture.
  6. Sprinkle oatmeal over the top.
  7. Bake in the oven until browned, about 30 minutes.
  8. Serve the dessert straight up in a spice mold with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

  • For a sweet flavor, we added white sugar to the batter.
  • You can improvise with flavors and replace white sugar with brown sugar, honey or syrup.
  • For those on a low-carbohydrate diet, you can replace the sugar with a sweetener.
