Such easy No Bake Oreo Truffle Balls recipe idea to create for a snack or parties. Made with cream cheese and oreos and dark chocolate chips. Not that sweet for a No Bake recipe dessert. Any chocolate biscuit can be used and crushed. Adding the sprinkles for decorations to suite your theme for a kids birthday party will be a good idea. Other sprinkles to suite the seasonal holidays such as Thanksgiving or Christmas ideas. Makes a tasty appetizer for a platter.
Why are my Oreo balls falling apart?
If your balls are falling apart when you try and coat them with chocolate that was melted, is that the melted chocolate is to hot and you need to leave it for a minute or two to cool down first. Then dip or coat them again, leave to set on a cooling rack.

How To
Crush the oreo biscuits in a zip lock bag or a processor until a fine crumb. Adding in the cream cheese.
Mixing all together until totally combined with a spoon.
Roll into one inch balls and place them on a sheet pan with wax proof or parchment line paper.
Chill in the freezer for about 30 minutes
Melt your chocolate chips in a glass bowl over a pot of hot water, stirring until smooth and shiny.
When the balls are hard enough stick a fork in them and dip them and coat them in the chocolate mix totally. Knock your hand to off load the balls to cool. Leave on a rack to cool slightly and sprinkle your choice of decoration over them so they can stick.
Place the chocolate coated truffle balls in the fridge or freezer to set.

Ingredients
- 25 – 30 oreo’s
- 3 1/2 cups of small chocolate chips (optional sweet or dark chocolate)
- 1 cup (8 ounce) cream cheese
- sprinkles or decorations of choice.(seasonal will also be good, such as Christmas time, Easter, or birthdays)
Instructions
- Crush the oreos in a large ziplock bag or a food processor until you have course crumbs.
- Add them to a large bowl with the cream cheese and mix until well combined.
- Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Freeze for 30 minutes.
- Melt the chocolate chips in a glass bowl over a pot of water, until smooth and shiny.
- With a fork pierce the oreo balls and place each ball into the melted chocolate and coat well. When coated knock your hand and not the fork to drop the coated ball on a rack to cool. Top with sprinkles.
- Put the tray back into the freezer for 10-15 minutes or until the chocolate is set.
Notes
- use chocolate chips of choice, sweet small ones or dark 70 % chips.
- Any type of chocolate biscuits is good to use.
