This classic old fashioned self saucing chocolate pudding dessert recipe is popular with the family. So easy to just add all the ingredients in one dish, mix and bake in an oven. The dark chocolate and cocoa and olive oil are anti-inflammatory foods that help your body fight inflammation. They will reduce the risk of diseases and leads to healthier ageing.
Why is it called self saucing pudding?
The dessert creates its own liquid under the sponge when baked in the oven. Calling it self saucing.

How long to store and reheat the chocolate pudding?
If you do not get to eat all of the pudding in the casserole dish then store in the fridge covered, so it does not dry out. Keeps well for 3 – 4 days. Reheat in a microwave for 40 seconds, or in an oven.

Ingredients
- 1 cup of flour (use Gluten free flour to make this recipe as well.)
- 3/4 cup of sugar (or coconut sugar)
- 3 tbsp of cocoa
- 2 tsp of baking powder
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1/2 cup of milk (substitute with almond or coconut milk)
- 2 tbsp of olive oil
- 1 tsp of van ess.
- 9. Mix these ingredients. all in one dish together.
- then add these below on top of the mixture and add water
- 3/4 cup of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of cocoa
- 1/1/4 boiling water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180 deg. C
- Bake the dessert that is all mixed together in a glass pyrex bowl as per instructions above.
- Bake for 40 min.
- Serve in a dessert bowl and spoon some sauce over the serving. Add a dollop of ice cream or cream.
