Simple Homemade Orange Popsicles
These orange popsicles are so simple and easy to make at home. A DIY frozen snack or treat to make in molds for kids and adults of course to enjoy on hot summer days. A no bake dessert with fresh wholesome ripe sweet orange juice with a little vanilla and sweetener. Fruity ice cream just with the juice of an orange.
What is an orange popsicle made of?
There are different ways and means to make these orange popsicles. I prefer the fresh wholesome sweet oranges juiced. Just adding some vanilla and sugar or honey. Blending and freezing this juice mix in molds for snacks and treats on hot days. There are additional ingredients you could add for a flavor you would enjoy. Such as yogurts and cream, and lemon juice for tartness. But oranges are sweet and tart enough.
Why do doctors recommend popsicles?
When kids are ill and have had an operation, it is normally recommendable that you serve these cold treats to sooth the throats and cool down temperatures. Popsicles, jellies and ice creams can meet the needs during recovery.
Ingredients
- freshly squeezed orange juice
- granulated sugar or honey
- vanilla extract
During the season of oranges, (that is winter time.) Pick the ripe oranges and make a few juices or popsicles and even marmalade with them. Get the recipe attached for the full recipe and even download it for your file.
How To
Cut the fresh ripe oranges in half for you to squeeze out the juice.
With a hand mixer or other juicer squeeze out the juice. Pour into a jug or container set aside.
Blend all ingredients together until sugar has dissolved well.
Obtain any molds you prefer with wooden sticks or pleasing popsicle heads to entice the kids.
Pour into popsicle molds and freeze for at least four hours or overnight which would be better for a firmer ice cream snack. Kids will love and not forgetting the adults as well. These are a must for hot summer days, for a icy orange juice treat to cool off. They taste delicious and are so healthy.
It is simple to pop them out of the molds, by just dunking them in a glass of warm water for a few seconds to release them. Then pull the popsicles out.
Serve on some ice to have all help themselves, but do not keep them for long as they will melt quickly in the heat.
