Can you put Nutella in the oven?
You can use Nutella or nut chocolate spread in bread or cookies to bake in the oven. If some are exposed it would be slightly burnt, but it would taste great.
How do you make cookies soft and chewy vs hard and crisp?
It depends on the ingredients you use for the cookies and how they are shaped. The use of eggs in your dough and brown sugar has more moisture in. To make a softer cookie use melted butter. Over baking the cookies or biscuits will make them to hard and chewy. If you leave them to bake that they are harder on the outside and not shiny in the middle then they will set nicely.
What are 3 factors that contribute to a chewy cookie?
- Brown sugar has some molasses in which makes it full of moisture.
- Use baking soda or baking powder, it will give the center of the cookie a better rise and make them soft and chewy.
- You can also freeze your cookie dough before scooping to place on the baking sheets.
